Negotiating trade agreements can take several years. In just over three and a half months, the United States will hold its presidential election. As we saw during the transition from the Obama administration to the Trump administration, trade negotiations can be sunk. According to him, Kenya`s trade agreement with the United States will provide broader support to the continent by creating a benchmark on which other African nations can in the future negotiate bilateral agreements under the AfCFTA. Kenya also has obligations as a member of the East African Community (EAC) Customs Union. Like its EAC colleagues, Kenya applies a common external tariff and may have limited room for manoeuvre to negotiate concessions in this area. . .

Species on the Move

An International Conference Series

The conference brings together scientists and natural resource managers working in the disciplines of global change, biogeography and evolution, and relevant in contexts of natural resource management, biodiversity management and conservation, and theoretical ecology.

Species responses to climate change is a rapidly evolving research field, however, much of our progress is being made in independent research areas: e.g. understanding the process vs responding to the implications, terrestrial vs marine ecosystems, global meta-analyses vs in depth species-specific approaches. This interdisciplinary conference develops connections between these parallel streams, and across temporal and spatial scales.
