Step 2: Registration review (due to limited venue capacity)
Registration interest is very high. Due to venue capacity, all registrations must be reviewed for eligibility before payment. We strongly encourage early registration.
◇ If you are an accepted abstract presenter
- You will be prioritized for approval.
- You will normally be notified of the outcome within working 3 days of submitting your registration.
- From 15 January 2026, any unconfirmed presenter places will be released to the general registration pool.
◇ If you are not presenting an accepted abstract
- Your registration will be reviewed subject to remaining capacity, generally in the order received, while also aiming to support a diverse and inclusive meeting.
- You will receive an outcome no later than 31 January 2026.
Step 3: Payment & confirmation (plus accommodation offer)
Once your registration is approved, you will receive a payment notification. Your place is confirmed after payment is completed. You will also receive the link to the Fleur de Chine Hotel accommodation discount offer.

* Who Qualifies for the Inclusive Rate
- The Inclusive Rate is made possible through the generous support of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (FANCA), the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), and other partner institutions and sponsors worldwide.
- It aims to enhance participation from students, early-career researchers, Indigenous peoples, and participants from low- and middle-income countries.
- Eligible participants may select the Inclusive Rate during registration by ticking the relevant box that best describes their status. The conference operates on a trust-based declaration system. Participants may be randomly selected for verification, and those selected will be asked to provide one supporting document as listed below.
Students
All participants who are currently enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD) are eligible for the Inclusive Rate.
- At registration: tick “I am currently enrolled as a student.”
- Verification if requested: valid student ID or an enrollment certificate issued by the institution.
Early-Career Researchers (ECR)
Early-career researchers are central to the mission of Species on the Move, advancing the scientific frontiers of biodiversity redistribution and adaptation. As they often have limited access to research funding and institutional resources, all ECRs within five years of PhD completion are eligible for the Inclusive Rate.
- At registration: tick “I am an early-career researcher (within five years of PhD completion).”
- Verification if requested: institutional profile or webpage showing current position and PhD completion year.
Participants from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC)
To strengthen participation from under-resourced regions, participants whose primary institutional affiliation is in a country classified as Low- or Middle-Income by the World Bank may select the Inclusive Rate.
- At registration: tick “My primary institutional affiliation is in a Low- or Middle-Income Country (LMIC).”
- Verification if requested: document showing institutional address in the LMIC (e.g., letterhead or institutional webpage).
- Reference list: World Bank Country and Lending Groups
Indigenous Participants
Indigenous peoples’ knowledge and stewardship are essential to understanding species on the move and social adaptation to climate and biodiversity change. Participants who self-identify as Indigenous or as members of an Indigenous community or organization may select the Inclusive Rate.
- At registration: tick “I self-identify as an Indigenous person or as part of an Indigenous community or organization.”
- Optional field: community, tribe, or organization name.
- Verification if requested: a brief note or email from a community or Indigenous organization acknowledging membership or collaboration.
Additional travel and registration support may be available depending on sponsorship availability. Stay tuned for details with the registration launch.
